Veštar: Maistra’s First 5-Star Campsite
By continuously investing in improving the quality of the campsite’s offer and services, Veštar has become Maistra’s first 5-star campsite
Maistra’s campsite Veštar in Rovinj has received a 5-star classification, making it the first campsite of this category in the company’s portfolio. This achievement is the result of years of investment in improving the quality of services and amenities, which has enabled the campsite to meet all of the criteria for this prestigious category.
“We are extremely proud that the Veštar campsite has joined the ranks of 5-star campsites, which is a guarantee of top quality and a confirmation that all our investments so far have been heading in the right direction. We would also like to point out that the campsite recently became a member of the Leading Campings association, which brings together 45 of the highest-quality campsites in Europe”, said Lino Žufić, the director of Veštar.
The most significant investments included the renovation of the campsite’s entrance area in 2023, including the renovation of the reception and the parking lot, as well as new sports zone with mini golf, a multipurpose sports court, beach volleyball, table tennis, and outdoor exercise equipment. A new facility, sanitary facility no. 6, has been built for the campsite’s guests. The pool area has also undergone renovation, and new pool toys have been added.
In 2024, investments included the reconstruction of the central zone, including the construction of a new square, sanitary facility no. 7, a stage for entertainment and evening programs, the opening of a new grocery store, and the MaiSky kids’ club with a wide selection of equipment for children and teenagers. It is worth mentioning that since this year, nine pitches have their own EV charging stations. Guests also have access to a digital map that can help them find their pitches when checking in, while the navigation option makes navigating the campsite easier. All guests receive RFID wristbands, which enable controlled access to the pool without queues, free pool sun loungers, and the option for cashless payments. The campsite’s offer has been expanded to include various amenities, including gourmet delicacies and refreshing beverages at the renovated Lovor Real Grill restaurant, Kapula Burger Bar, Basilico Pizza Pasta and Tuffo Splash Bar, all of which are part of the MaiEats Restaurants & Bars brand, which promotes local, fresh, and seasonal dishes.
The Veštar campsite has a beautiful location by the beach and offers accommodation in 235 mobile homes and 503 pitches, with the capacity for over 2,200 guests. The majority of the campsite’s guests are from Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, and it is also these countries that awarded the campsite with the ADAC Superplatz***** and ANWB TOP Erkende***** awards for 2024.
