Maistra’s Veštar Named Croatia’s Safest Campsite for 2026
Maistra’s Veštar Campsite has been named Croatia’s safest campsite for 2026, receiving the top recognition at the TouRisk Awards, the country’s first national programme focused on safety in tourism.

Launched this year, the TouRisk Awards recognise tourism operators that demonstrate a systematic and measurable commitment to guest safety and risk management. The evaluation is based on a data-driven, multi-layered index, combining standardised questionnaires, publicly available data, destination and environmental analyses, and an independent expert jury review.
The award highlights Maistra’s continued investment in safety, service quality and responsible campsite management. “The safety of our guests is always our top priority, and this recognition confirms that our standards and daily operations are aligned with the highest expectations. We are proud that Veštar has been recognised as a benchmark of excellence at the national level,” said Mateo Škuflić, Head of Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Protection at Maistra.
Veštar is the first five-star campsite in Maistra’s portfolio and has been a member of LeadingCampings of Europe, an association of 45 of the highest-quality campsites across Europe, and EcoCamping since 2024. Its key source markets, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, have also recognised the campsite this year with ADAC Superplatz***** and ANWB Top Erkende***** awards.
